Now I'm not a big fan of (neither do I have anything against) Little Mix, but I am a lover of Collection's make-up, so when I saw that they had a collaboration featuring a lot of products, I was heading straight down to Superdrug to have a browse of the stand. I must say I was a little disappointed, nothing really seemed exciting. Everything was very standard shades - you know the ones that every brand has a version of. There were a couple of bits that caught my eye though, so as well as this Glitter Liner, I also have a review of a mauvey purple lipstick from the line coming up!
This is basically a glitter liner, which has been released as part of Collections collaboration with the girl band Little Mix. As part of the permanent line Collection already have glitter liners of pretty much the same formula, they go by a different name 'Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner' but I'm pretty sure they're the exact same thing! It comes with a brush style applicator, which on this particular one I do find rather wide, so it isn't the easiest to use for winged liner! Inside there's a very reasonable 6ml of product, enough to last ages! In the collaboration there are 4 rock it liners available, with a huge range of other products available too! This is available from Boots & Superdrug for £2.99.
Having loads of glitter in them these liners aren't the easiest to apply and do require a little bit of extra care. You will need to dab it on a little as well as the normal swiping motion that you'd normally apply a liquid liner with. The dry time isn't super quick, but nor would I say it takes too long! I was a little worried that it may not last well through the day and give me glitter fallout down my cheeks. But I'm pleased to say, that on me at least I didn't experience this at all!
Colour & Pigmentation
When I saw this is Superdrug I actually though this was a black liquid liner with silver glitter sparkling through it. Infact thats even how it's described on the Collection Website. But actually it has a clear base to it and it jam packed pull of black and silver glitter. Unlike a lot of glitter liners this really is very glittery with just one swipe. I do find though that they're not completely opaque, so look best over a regular liner. If you like glitter I'd definitely recommend checking out these and the regular glitter liners from Collection!
|The worst picture ever - I do apologise, my camera is dying :(|
The Good - cheap, value, applies fairly evenly, lots of colour choices available, no glitter fallout.
The Not so Good - The brush applicator is quite wide.
Would I Repurchase? Oh yes!
Price & Availability - £2.99, Boots & Superdrug
Even if your scared of making to much of an impact with glitter on your eyes I really urge you to give one a go. For just under £3 you're not loosing out on much if you don't like it. But I'm pretty sure it'll start a new obsession! By adding glitter just along the upper lashline it really pulls the look together - perfect for Christmas too!
