Review + Swatches: OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Nail Lacquers

I've never been one for spending a lot of money on beauty products so OPI hasn't been a brand that I delved much into. But recently I became aware of the mini's sets that came out with OPI collections and of course bought one of the the Mariah Carey Liquid Sands Polishes. And I've been very impressed with the longevity - around one week with minimal tip wear.

The Basics
The set includes 4 mini polishes each with 3.75ml of polish - the regular size is 15ml. But considering I will probably never get through a full size polish, a mini size suites me down to the ground! I bought mine off of BuyaPowa, but it's no longer available on there as it's a deals site. But you can purchase one for yourself for £13.95 from ASOS. The main theme between all of the polishes is that they are a textured matte with glitter running through them.

Get Your  Number -  A bright blue with the liquid sand texture. The glitter in this one is silver! Two coats.

Get Your Number

Can't Let Go - Often stated as the least interesting of the set, but personally my favourite. The colour's a medium blue toned purple, with purple micro glitter and purple hexagonal shaped glitter. Two Coats.

Can't Let Go

The Impossible - A slightly washed out red shade, with red hexagonal glitter in it. This also supposedly has red star shaped glitter in it - although none came on my nails. Personally my least favourite of the set and will be in the hands of Alessia next time I see her! Two Coats.

The Impossible

Stay the Night - Again the colour on this seems a little washed out - but those that have put a clear top coat over the colour seem to show this looking a lot blacker - but this takes the matte texture away! Also with red/fuchsia glitter in it. Two Coats.

Stay the Night

You now have your reason for why I haven't posted any NOTD's recently! But I have a few stunners ready to be put on my nails, so don't worry I will have some exciting new nail posts for you coming in the next few weeks. Have you ever tried OPI before, what're your favourite shades?

    1. Not the best, but not quite as bad as you might think either - easier than some glitters!

  3. Stay the Night is such a pretty colour but I think the texture would drive me insane (I've been trying the caviar nail thing, going slowly mad xD). You have really amazing nails though, jealous.
