Review + Swatches: MUA Cover & Conceal - Fair

Sometimes having pale skin can come at a price and that is when I get blemishes on my skin. Paler skin shows up the redness in blemishes more and that coupled with the problems sometimes encountered finding a good shade match that's not too yellow/orange can sometimes cause me issues. Apart from that I really like having pale skin! This particular concealer has left me with a love/hate relationship, read on to find out more!

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
This is a liquid concealer with a very decent 7.5ml of product held in a lipgloss style tube complete with a doe-foot applicator (the same type associated with lipglosses). There's differing opinions on this type of applicator for concealer, but if you're worried about hygiene apply to the back of your hand and then use a brush/finger to apply to the desired areas. This is available in 3 colours, all of which are fairly light and comes in a just £1.50.

What did I think?
The first thing I noticed about this was that it is a true ivory shade, with a very minimal yellow tone to it. The textures also pretty nice, not too heavy or greasy, infact it even feels slightly moisturizing. However the coverage of this isn't brilliant, it's okay, but I definitely have preferred concealers that I'd pick up before reaching for this. As for wear, this is one that will probably have to be reapplied half-way through your day.

The Good - Good colour match, not greasy, not drying.

The Not so Good - Poor colour range, needs touching up through the day, not the best coverage.

Would I repurchase? Probably not, sorry!

Price & Availability - £1.50 Superdrug & MUA's Website.

I can be a bit fussy when it comes to concealers, I like to stick to my favourites. Sticking with what I know! But anyway I hope this review helped and I'll speak to you again soon - Feel free to share your favourite concealers, I love reading your recommendations!

  1. I'm feeling the exact same with this concealer! It really bothers me having to reapply throughout the day as I often don't even have time for that. I might try and mix it with my The balm time balm concealer which is full coverage but quite dry so it gets cakey. Wouldn't necessarily repurchase either! xx

  3. You review made me glad I didn't order this. Concealers are meant to actually conceal, so I always have high expectations (no matter the price, if you say it conceals, it'd better conceal!!)
So far my favorite is one by Collection 2000. It provide smedium coverage but can be easily built up for high coverage, and lasts all day! :)
