I'm sure the regular passers by my blog (Hi, I love you guys!) know exactly what this little feature is. But for those that don't (I love you guys too!), basically I lucky dip through my make-up stash and pick out 5 products. On the Monday I swatch them for you and tell you a little bit about them and my thoughts. And then towards the end of the week I have to post a FOTD using all 5 products - it can be quite a challenge sometimes, I've been very lucky this week!
Sleek Primer Palette
(£7.99, Superdrug & Sleek's Website)
Back when I first got this I wasn't too impressed. Basically it's just a palette of pretty sheer cream shadows. They look lovely swatched, but when blended out to what you'd actually have on your eye they're pretty sheer - so the need for 12 (some rather similar) colours baffles me a little. This little guy has been set aside though so maybe I can learn to love it a little!
Barry M Dazzle Dust - 11
(£4.59, Boots & Superdrug)
This is possibly my first ever dazzle dust, but it was a good choice! This is a lovely shimmery charcoal shade, which works great for a smoky eye or can be used wet as a liner. I was quite lucky to pick out such a wearable shade when delving in the Dazzle Dust drawer!
No7 Metallic Eyes Pencil - Emerald
(£6.50, Boots)
This particular colour was actually limited edition, but you can get a very similar one in the permenant line. And I'd definitely recommend them - they rather remind me of the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners, although I don't have an actual colour dupe! Essentially nice and creamy in texture, but sets down to last all day.
Sleek Blush - Rose Gold
(£4.49, Superdrug & Sleeks Website)
As much as I love Sleek (the blushes included) I just don't seem to get on with this. It's just far to shimmery on my cheeks, but I can see this being a great highlight shade if you have a deep skintone. But swatched I can appreciate this in all it's glory!
17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss - In the Nude
(£3.99, Boots)
I actually really like how pigmented these are, but they smell a bit like Buttercream to me and seeing as I can't eat dairy it's a little off putting! But essentially these are really good glosses. This particular colour was a free gift with purchase, hence it not being quite my colour!
I don't seem to have much colour going on here this week, it seems to be a theme recently apart from the glitter spell we had a few weeks ago! Hopefully next week I'll get some colour! Anyway as always thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back at the weekend for the FOTD using these, Hannah

Seems like a dark smokey eye kind of week? Haha
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking so!
DeleteI've had an obsessive hunt going on for that Sleek blusher for quite some time but now I'm wondering whether it might be too shimmery for me? That swatch is gorgeous...but oh so shimmery. I guess the hunt will continue until I can see it in life - it's ALWAYS sold out!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what look you come up with - I love a dark eye ;-)
It took me forever to find mine as well and I was so excited I forgot to stop and swatch, rooky mistake! Sorry if I'm put your hopes down - the colour is gorgeous, just very shimmery!
DeleteLove the blusher shade and the lip gloss! Looking forward to seeing what kind of look you create :) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it's gonna be smoky, we shall have to wait and see though!
DeleteI hope you do opt for a dark smokey eye! Your eye makeup is always amazing!
