Review + Swatches: MUA Hide & Concealer Concealer - Fair

Not too long ago MUA released a whole new selection of face products and having the self restraint that I do I of course picked some of the new products up! I've already reviewed a few of the products, but next up is this concealer that I've been trying out - it sure is a bargain as well for those on a tight budget! Anyway I hope you find the review helpful :)

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
I've already told you this is a bargain, so I may as well also tell you that it is only actually £1! It comes in lipstick style packaging (which is rather flimsy), bullet and all, which is something that in the past hasn't been my cup of tea. Inside you get 3.2g of product, which is available in 3 colour choices. They also sell an old formula of this product, which from what I recall is a lot ore yellow toned, so thumbs up that it's not anymore!

What did I think?
Aside from the packaging being rather flimsy I actually got on reasonably well with this. It's not the best concealer I've tried, but for £1 it's pretty good. It won't cover everything, but used over foundation (you use less this way anyway!) it seems fine for me. The texture is lovely and creamy and blends really nicely with a fluffy brush. As with all creamy concealers I have been setting this with a powder, where I find that it lasts until around lunchtime, at which point I reapply! Be careful not to apply too much though as it can look a little cakey if you do.

On the fullface after picture I am also wearing blush and powder.

The Good - Not too yellow, creamy, cheap, value.

The Not so Good - Have to reapply at half time, packaging, will look cakey if you apply too much.

Would I repurchase? Probably not, but if I was broke and needed a concealer it's nice to know it works!

Price & Availability - £1, MUA's Website & Superdrug.

There's nothing that wrong with this, I just have things I prefer, which is why I wouldn't repurchase. But as a teenager I probably would have bought this with my pocket money if they'd had it back then! Ah nostalgia! Thanks as always for stopping by and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

  1. I bought it too, with the -50% bargain. I prefer the wand one, covers much more, and its easier to apply. Not bad, but not great eaither.

  2. I've used other concealer sticks before and find my skin is too dry for them, but at £1 that's amazing!

  5. This looks great for a pound. But I've never really gotten on with this types of products. I like a good liquid or cream (paste like) concealer. Great review though.

    Now following.
