Review: Figs & Rouge Balm - Rambling Rose

You may have seen a couple of weeks ago I received this little beauty in this months Glossybox and actually said I didn't think I'd get much use from it as I hate the smell of rose. Well since then I haven't been able to put this little tin down! There is a fair amount of hype around this product, but after having a little tin of my own, I must say it does seem to be well deserved hype!

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
Figs & Rouge are a UK company, providing and 100% natural products made in the UK. Sounds good right? It gets better, all their products are petroleum free, mineral oil free and contain no synthetics. And this particular little balm is also 100% organic. I bet you can feel your purses burning at all this, but actually these are super affordable, with an 8ml tin setting you back just £3.49 delivered on Feel Unique - link. Aside from this balm which can be used on lips, face and body they also sell tinted lip balms and hand creams, in a variety of scents including wild cherry and coco vanilla - I know, I'm drooling!

What did I think?
Not being a lover of the rose scent I was a little put off at first, but hearing all the great ingredients and credentials I knew I had to at least give it a try. And I'm so pleased I did as this balm is just perfect on the lips. It lasts for ages on the lips without feeling waxy or greasy. And once gone leaves my lips feeling really soft. It does leave a slight sheen on your lips so you may want to warn the men in your life before they steal it! I've only really used it on my lips because I don't want to cross-contaminate my magic pot, but if you click here - link, you can find all the uses other people have found for this!

Ingredients - Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum parkii, (Shea butter), Cera alba, Rosa canina, Fruit Oil, Calendula officinalis, Flower Extract, Pelargonium graveolens, Flower Oil.

The Good - cheap, value, natural, organic, petroleum free, not waxy/greasy, really softens lips.

The Not so Good - I'm personally not so fond of the rose smell this one has.

Would I repurchase? 100% yes, this is my new favourite lipbalm! I may have already ordered one of the tinted balms this afternoon as well... I also have my eye on the hand cream, which could end badly!

Price & Availability - £3.49, Boots & Feel Unique

I really love it when I find a product that I fall in love with, especially when I wouldn't have otherwise bought it - so thanks Glossybox! I can't be without this stuff now! I really hope this review was helpful and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah
