The 'Monday MakeUp Mix-Up #15

I'm a bad beauty blogger and am late with my post! Hopefully most of you will know this isn't the norm around here, but I am snowed under (sorry couldn't help myself!) with uni work at the moment, with my dissertation due in very soon! If you're new here then this weekly feature probably needs some explanation! Basically I lucky dip through my collection and pick out 5 products with the aim of using them all to create a look later in the week using for you. The aim behind it is to challenge myself, but to also use some products that I may have forgotten about.

BarryM Fine Glitter Dust - 4
(£4.59, Boots & Superdrug)
And the glitter is all coming at once! Last week it was pink glitter, this week I have some silver glitter! This particular one isn't a pure glitter but has some finer silver shimmer in there too which helps give a more opaque coverage. In the swatch it is shown over the Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy.

BarryM, Venomous Cosmetics, 17

Venomous Cosmetics Loose Shadow - Purple People Eater
The price given here is for a sample size, which is what I have. I love that indie companies sell sample sizes, I'm highly unlikely to ever finish a full jar, so if I can buy less product for a cheaper price we're onto a winner! Venomous Cosmetics is one of my favourite brands too, I can't help but to keep lusting over their new Naturally Beautiful collection!

17 Eyeliner - Onyx
(Not on the website, possibly discontinued)
I don't really have much to say here, it's a pretty standard black eyeliner. It's nothing amazing, but it's alright and more suited to smudgey rocker chick eyes! But quite handy to have when creating random looks!

ELF All Over Colour Stick - Pink Lemonade
(£1.50, ELF's Website)
I bought this ages ago after hearing quite a few good reviews of it. But I'm sad to say, although a beautiful colour, this just isn't for me. The product is pretty hard and looks awful on my lips. But I'm willing to give it another chance on my cheeks, but you never know, I may change my mind! That's the beauty of the Monday posts!

BeautyUK, ELF

BeautyUK Lipstick - Gossip Girl
(£3.49, Superdrug)
BeautyUK lipsticks are super under rated, infact all their lip products are really good! This is pigmented, creamy and also has a lovely subtle mint scent to it. And then we have the colour! This is a bright fuschia, but with a strong blue violet sheen to it. I say it everytime I mention these lipsticks, but I really need to check out some other shades!

I feel really bad that this was late, and I know I don't need to make excuses. But I will promise that I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen again! I feel like I'm a bad kid making promises to my mum here! Anyway I hope you enjoyed this weeks post and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

  1. I love these posts, late or otherwise! haha.
Just wondering if you've ever actually used any of these indie samples up? I ordered a couple of sample collections from Shiro so I'm kinda curious about the amount you get :3
Good luck with your dissertation by the way x

    1. I think I have used a couple up - it varies between companies on how much product you get, but you get a fair few uses from them because you really don't need much product! Shiro do some lovely colours though, I hope you enjoy. And thankyou for the lovely comment :)

  2. Oh Glitter :D The problem it gets everywhere (including the husband and I don't know how! It's funny to spot bits on him lol).

    1. I know it gets everywhere! My boyfriend probably wishes I didn't like glitter as much as I do!

  3. I like the look of that colour stick. I'd tried a lighter one before as a highlight!

    1. I tried one too, I just don't seem to be able to get on with the formula. I don't know if it's me not using it right or what, but they never seem to look nice on me!
