I feel like this week I need to give a quick explanation of what this little weekly feature on my blog is as I'm very happy to say, I've had a lot of new followers in the last week or so. So firstly thank you and hello to all my new subscribers :) Back to what the Monday Mix-Up is though, basically I go delving into my make-up stash and lucky dip 5 products which I have to use during the week. And then at the end of the week (usually Friday or Saturday) I have to do a FOTD using all 5 products together. And this week it's gonna be hard!
BeautyUK Pearl Eyeliner - Sphinx
(£3.49, Superdrug & BeautyUK's Website)
You may have seen this pop up in my 2012 favourites - but not in this crazy gold colour! The formula is super long lasting, and the colour range is great which is why they appeared. But gold totally isn't my colour, I bought this after getting a little carried away when they had a good sale on! Gotta find a way to use it... with red and blue...
Accessorize Duo Baked Eyeshadow - Aphrodite
(£4.50, Superdrug)
Baked eyeshadows all tend to be pretty similar, but the black in this one seemed to be really interesting, having red veining running through it. So I couldn't help but to pick it up. Not sure how I'm going to use this yet, but it's a nice 'safe' product to have picked out!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencil - Clash
(£14, Debenhams)
Another item theat made it to my 2012 favourites, strange how it turns out! It does mean that I get to share another shade with you though, this time a bright sky blue, with silver shimmer. A very beautiful colour, however how well it's going to go with gold eyeliner and red lipgloss is another matter!
Sleek Blush - Suede
(£4.49, Superdrug & Sleeks Website)
This product was a bit of a saviour, it's a matte nude blush! Could you imagine if I'd picked something bright pink out! Anyway this particular shade is something that I've used as a contour in the past, although nowadays I find it a little too orange for that. But still, very happy to have this to play with this week :)
17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss - Very Berry
(£3.99, Boots)
However much I like 17 and like the non-sticky formula of this gloss. This shade really isn't for me. I'm not too much of a fan of glittery or metallice lips, I tend to be a more straight gloss or matte girl! However I got this as part of a gift with purchase once and have failed to use this deep pigmented red that much. Perhaps I will find a new love this week?
I didn't do to well this week with my lucky dipping did I! I'm a little nervous of the day I have to put these all on my face, I'm going to have to come up with an action plan so that I don't look to mismatched! Anyway as always thanks for stopping by and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

Oo I love Suede, definitely requires a light hand though! I finally got Pomegranate this weekend too, can't wait to use it!
ReplyDeleteOh fab, glad you managed to hunt it down! It's a beautiful shade :)
