Okay, so it's Wednesday, , but we can't all be perfect. And that's just life sometimes, we just need to go with it! This weeks Monday Mix Up has done me proud, there's some good products for me to play with, but also some interesting colours and textures to work with. This is the week of glitter! If you're new and haven't seen this feature on my blog before, basically I lucky dip out 5 products from my stash and aim to use them all together to create a look for you at the end of the week!
MUA Pearl Eyeshadow - Shade 4
(£1, Superdrug)
I quite often seem to pick up these MUA singles, but no complaints here as they're pretty nice shadows, with very good pigmentation for the money! This particular one is a shimmery pinky lavender shade, which works pretty much anywhere on the eyes, but especially in the inner corner. But also applied lightly as a cheek highlight this looks rather nice.
NYX Glitter Mania - Pink
(£2.50, NYX's Website)
So the name's pink, but actually the pale pink glitter has a green duotone to it strangely. But actually for this weeks look, this may work in my favour! These glitters are a NYX product that I don't hear much about, but actually they're really fun. Around a year or so ago I posted a tutorial using these, but if you'd like to see a bit more of a how-to, then do let me know!
No7 Metallic Eyes Pencil - Smoky Peacock
(£6.50, Boots)
Okay so this particular shade is limited edition, but they do have two similar green shades in the regular line. These metallic eyes pencils are actually a really nice product, especially these jewel colours to add a little bit of colour! The texture is also really lovely, applying really creamy, but staying put all day!
BeautyUK Baked Blush - Royal Rose
(£3.99, Superdrug)
I don't like this blush, to the point where it was one of the few items featured in my 'Products I regret Buying' post a few months ago. The colours pretty, but I really struggle to get pigmentation from it, with the swatch here being a good few layers! But we'll see what I can do with it for the look!
ELF Shimmer Gloss - New York City
(£2.50, ELF's Website)
This particular shade was actually a limited edition shade from last Christmas, but the formula is quite sheer, so I'm sure you can find something similar in the regular line. Although sheer, they have a nice texture, being light, fruity and without a hint of stickiness!
I'm really sorry this has been so late this week, I've been having one of those weeks! But rest assured, the accompanying FOTD will be up on time, I will make sure! Anyway thanks all for bearing with me over the last couple of days and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

I had the same problem with a beauty uk blush a while ago and it the end it broke and crumbled!!
ReplyDeleteMine hasn't broken yet, but thanks for the warning, I will have to be careful with it!
DeleteThe ELF lipgloss looks very pretty, I hate sticky lipglosses! I tried their liquid lipsticks and the colour was nice but it was so sticky :( x
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you about the Luscious Liquid Lipsticks, these ones have a much nicer texture though!
DeleteWaiting to see ur look
ReplyDeleteComing soon :)
