MUA really seems to be pulling it out of the hat at the moment, I seem to be constantly gushing over their products! But I guess that can only be a good thing right? I haven't had much experience with setting sprays, because in all honesty I was scared that the wetness of them would ruin all my time spent applying my make-up. But I've totally got over that now, it was a logical, but unnecessary worry! Anyway enough of my rambling, lets get this review going!
The Basics
Recently MUA (or MakeUp Academy) have brought out a whole new line of face products, at the moment I only have this one product unfortunately. But hopefully that'll change in the future! I'd say the packaging is pretty simple looking, but inside there is a very decent 60ml of product. The best bit? This will only set you back £4 AND it doesn't leave any scent on your face.
What did I think?
I'm sure we've already established that I rather like this product. But I'm sure it really helps for me to tell you why! And the main reason is that it really works to set my make-up in place all day. I have noticed an improved longevity of my foundation and practically no oiliness by the end of the day, which I usually would. My one slight complaint is that the spray isn't as fine as it could be, but it's by no means going to leave drips or anything like that running down your face!
The Good - cheap, value, doesn't smell horrible, leaves me oil free all day!
The Not so Good - The spray could be a bit finer, it might also be worth saying that mine seemed to leak a little in transit, but it seems to be fine now?
Would I Repurchase? Absolutely, I'm really enjoying it :)
After trying my first Pro-Base product from MUA I'm pretty eager to try some more of them. Although I'm going to have to wait a fair few weeks to save some pennies, I hope that's alright! But as always thanks for stopping by and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

I was tempted to pick this up the other day but I find setting sprays a bit gimmicky, precise application and a good powder have the same effect for me so I'm not a huge fan of them however they've caught my attention which I guess is part of the battle! x
ReplyDeleteHaha yes, I wasn't too fussed in the past, but this one has really made me think twice about that decision, I've really noticed a difference.
DeleteOoh i bought this today - loved reading your review and can't wait to write my own :)
ReplyDeleteX X X
Oh fab, thank you Lora, hope you enjoys yours too :)
DeleteI always had the same worry about setting sprays just washing the make up off my face, irrational or not! The real test though is whether it will keep your make up fixed in the weather we've had as of late. Anything that can keep my make up in place in snow and wind would be an instant buy for me!
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I didn't go out in the snow today, Uni was closed for the day so I just stayed inside in the warm!
Deleteseems good product

ReplyDeleteAww thanks Maryam, glad you find them helpful :)
DeleteThink i am going to have to try this now but do you think it will work on my rather oily skin??:)
ReplyDeleteI don't have particularly oily skin, it's only a little oily. So I can't say for sure, but from my experience it's made a noticeable difference.
DeletePerfect, this is the review I was looking for! Cheers for linking me Hannah.
