The Monday MakeUp Mix-Up! #12

Apologies for the lack of Monday mix-up last week, I was away from home for Christmas and didn't have my stash to lucky dip from! Besides, blogging was a little on the lighter side for Christmas anyway! Anyway I'm back on form now with this horrible combination of make-up! If you don't know the gist of this feature, basically each week I randomly pick out 5 products from my stash and then later in the week I have to come up with a FOTD using them. The aim is to basically use some lesser used products, whilst challenging myself creatively!

Sleek Paraguaya Palette
(Discontinued, try Ebay!)
In theory this palette is an alright thing to have picked out. However I'm not quite sure how well it's going to fit in with the other products I've picked out - there's some very vampy products this week! But that's all part of the fun, and gets me using this palette. As you can see I've loved using the highlight shade in this palette, but I promise I'll use something else and not use the cheats way out!

Venomous Cosmetics Loose Shadow - Wilted Roses
(Discontinued, Venomous Cosmetics)
I really like this colour, it's a deeper, slightly pink toned matte red with aqua microglitter. However the thought of putting it on my eyes is a little daunting! Especially seeing as my lips are going to be anything but subtle! I'm thinking I may use it foiled as a winged liner, but we shall see!

MUA Intense Colour Lip Liner - Brooding Plum
(£1, Superdrug)
My favourite lip liner - ever! When I delved into my liners mug I was expecting to pick out an eyeliner and thats what about 90% of my liners are. But no, I got my favourite lipliner! This is a slightly deepend red shade, with a touch of pink in it. Infact pretty similar to the Venomous Cosmetics eyeshadow!

17 Lasting Fix Lipstick - New Black
(£4.29, Boots)
So you're probably thinking that this lipstick looks a little scary - I thought that too. But then I manned up, took the plunge and put it on. It is definitely a niche taste, but I have to say, I actually quite like it! I've actually used it in this previous FOTD (link) and got hooked on it for a short period over the summer. My only worry is how to wear it with the other products!

Maybelline Mineral Powder Blush - Quartz Peach
(Discontinued, but widely available online)
My one and only Maybelline product, which unfortunately is discontinued. And actually I haven't used it in quite a while. But it seems to be reasonably pigmented although has some shimmer in it. I'm more of a fan of the matte blushes, but it won't hurt me to use this a little this week!

So this week we have a peach and vampy inspired look to look forward to. Could be interesting, but hopefully I'll be able to come up with something not too scary by the end of the week! As always thanks for stopping by and I'll speak to you in the new year, have a good night! Hannah

  3. I really want to get the lip liner, might make it easier for me to put on red lipstick- with any other colour I know where my lips start and end but with red ones it always seems really hard haha
