Review & Swatches: Glossybox December 2012

This month marks my six month anniversary with Glossybox, I'm still liking the box - especially the excitement I get each month to open my box! I am finding that there's quite a lot of skincare appearing, but on the flipside I've had some gems that have become favourites! I am actually considering starting a subscription with Joliebox too as I hear they're being taken over my Birchbox in the new year. We'll have to see!

Inside this months box...
Seche Nail Lacquer - Iconic
Sleek True Colour Lipstick - O.M.G!
Mary Greenwell Eau de Parfum - Lemon
Rituals Magic Touch Cherry Blossom & Rice Milk Whipped Body Cream
Sebamed Anti-dry Night Intensive Cream
Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher - Glossy Rosewood

A full price breakdown and product information can be found in my original post for this months box - link

Seche Nail Lacquer - Iconic
Seche have always been famous for their top/base coats, but only recently have they brought out coloured nail polishes! The shade I got it a pretty metallic red, which applied with one coat and dried pretty quickly! I didn't have a chance to test the wear though as I went to an event at the weekend where I had my nails done, but it lasts at least 24 hours!

Sleek True Colour Lipstick - O.M.G!
I was pretty excited to see this in my box as Sleek is one of my favourite brands - but I only have a couple of their lipsticks. In the tube this is a slightly orange toned red, but actually swatches a bit more orange toned. So perhaps not quite my colour, but it's lovely and opaque with that lovely glossy finish. All in all a good lipstick - but not really my colour!

Mary Greenwell Eau de Parfum - Lemon
I hate to be so negative about a product, but I'm not sure I've seen anybody say that they particularly liked this fragrance sample. Correct me if I'm wrong! It's a very mature and strong scent. It's probably quite marmite - love it or hate it!

Rituals Magic Touch Cherry Blossom & Rice Milk Whipped Body Cream
Without sounding really weird this did actually have an airy whipped texture, which sunk into the skin really nicely! The scent wasn't overly strong, but in a way, that can be good as it doesn't interfere with the scent of your perfume. As for moisturization I think it actually did a pretty darn good job!

Sebamed Anti-dry Night Intensive Cream
I don't actually have particularly dry skin skin so couldn't really do much testing with this. I have done the next best thing and insisted my dry skinned boyfriend be my test bunny for a few days. He tells me it feels horrible (A bit like Bepanthen) when you first put it on, but it does sink in nicely and seem to make somewhat of a difference! And that's about as helpful as I can be I'm afraid.

Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher - Glossy Rosewood
This product isn't actually available to buy as far as I'm aware. Nor have I ever tried a Kryolan Blusher, so can't really tell you if the quality is comparable. That being said I do actually quite like this as it's a pigmented matte blush! The colour is also pretty interesting being a slightly purple toned candy pink.

Overall this box was pretty impressive with a few fullsize products in there too! For the moment I'm definitely going to be sticking with Glossybox - lets hope they keep upto this standard, as for £10 this was rather good value! Thanks for stopping by and I'll speak to you soon, Hannah
