I never really though that my nails were particularly long, but with my NOTD posts and on some of my Youtube videos (link to my homepage) I've been having comments saying I have nice long nails or variations on the theme! So I thought it was about time I shared with you the steps I take to achieve that. I'll be honest, my nails aren't in perfect condition, they still flake a little - but they key with that is to just leave the flakes and paint over with my favourite basecoat instead of peeling them off!

Superdrug Nourishing Nail Polish Remover
No remover is going to be good for your nails as such - just think what it's doing! But we can go for ones that aren't as bad. This remover is acetone free, which is something I will always go for after have a practical at uni and using acetone to dissolve filter paper - although granted it was in a much higher concentration! Anyway this formula also has Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, which can't be bad!
Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails - Clear
This is the product that really made a difference for me, and I think it's something I would repurchase over and over. It's basically just a clear nail polish enriched with nylon and retinol strengthener that I ALWAYS use underneath every nail polish I wear. And it really seems to be keeping my nails in better condition!
Those are my two main tips, but something else that has helped me is making sure I have enough Calcium in my diet. I can't eat dairy, so have likely been lacking it in the past, but my doctor gave me some suggestions and it's been a change for the better. But if worried about this see your doctor, I'm not expert! Anyway I hope this helped and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah
