Today has not been a great day, for starters it's pouring with rain. The stress of uni and my dissertation seems to be the real downer at the moment, nothing seems to be going right, even though I spent at least 7 hours a day on reading and assignments. I was considering just curling up in bed and feeling sorry for myself, but trying to think positively I realised that wouldn't get me anywhere and so I'm going to write a small review for you to try and distract myself for a few minutes. And apologies for the moaning, it's just nice to vent sometimes!
As always I've included a summary at the end :)
This primer comes housed in a black tube, with a doe-foot applicator - just like you'd find on a lipgloss. It's not my favourite packaging for a primer, but at £2.50 it does the job! Inside you get 7.5ml of product, which seems to be lasting well as I've been using it almost every single day since the summer - talk about a long testing time! Although I can't be sure how much is left as the tube is opaque.
What did I think?
I was actually really quite impressed with this primer. I've done tests wearing this on one eye and my beloved Too Faced Shadow Insurance on the other. And you really couldn't tell a difference between the look of a good eyeshadow at the end of the day. However there was a slight difference when using poorer quality eyeshadows. Although I will say the MUA primer is a tad greasier than more pricier alternatives, but definitely does the job and worth the price!
The Good - cheap, value, decent amount of product, great alternative that works almost as well as the much more expensive options! It's been perfectly good enough for me since the summer!
The Not so Good - not so fond of the doefoot applicator, doesn't work quite some good for poor quality shadows.
Would I repurchase? I think I would, it's very good value!
Who might like it? Those that want an eye primer on the cheap!
Price & Availability - £2.50, Superdrug & MUA's Website.
I have been considering doing a bit of an eye primer overview going through the ones I have and the benefits and potential drawbacks of each one. Do let me know if it's something you'd like to see, but it'll probably happen! As always thanks for stopping by and I'll speak to you soon, Hannah
