Review: Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast Lipbalm

Who doesn't love a good lipbalm? Or more like who doesn't need one with all this horrible weather we're having in the UK at the moment! Not so long ago I treated myself to a new lipbalm, the sound of this one was far too good to leave in the shop!

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
This is a standard, twisty lipbalm. Which I know a lot of you prefer to the ones you have to put your fingers in! Inside you get 4.25g of product, held in some funky packaging. As for ingredients, we have Coconut Oil, Vitamin E and Jojoba to moisturize and an SPF15 to help protect our lips from the non-existent sun here in the UK - although I do try and wear SPF whatever the weather! I bought this for £1.75 from Superdrug.

What did I think?
I am in love with the smell of this balm, it smells exactly how you'd imagine and even seems to smell fizzy if that's possible! You can also taste it, which for me is no bad thing - this seriously smells amazing. On the lips it's a tad greasy feeling, but nothing major and doesn't really show on the lips. However I've been using this for a number of weeks now and really haven't found that it does much to moisturize/hydrate my lips, which is rather disappointing - still gonna use it as a barrier product though as it smells so good!

The Good - The best smelling lip balm I've ever smelt, cheap, SPF15.

The Not so Good - I didn't notice much difference in the condition of my lips when using it - but it smells so good that I'm gonna have to keep using it!

Would I repurchase? I'm half tempted to say yes based on the smell!

Price & Availability - £1.75, Superdrug and probably lots of other places too!

So overall a little disappointing for the lips, but my nose sure does love it! For those of you wondering my favourite lipbalms for hydrating and softening my lips are the Palmers and SoftLips ones - neither of which I have at the moment :( Thanks for stopping by, Hannah

  1. This sounds worth buying just for the scent! Boohoo about the lack of softlips, you poor person! x
