NOTD: BarryM Gelly Nail Paint - Watermelon + Bonus Appearance!

Unlike most beauty bloggers I haven't actually had that much experience with Barry M Nail Paints, and I hate to say it, but the majority (2 out of 3) have really not impressed me with the formula. The first one took 3 or 4 coats to get a good coverage and took ages to dry. The second one is this one and we'll get onto that! But, and it's a big but, I love how it looks once the polish is on and dried, so for £3.99 we're not doing so bad.

The Basics
As I've already said this retails for £3.99 and is available from Boots & Superdrug. It comes in the same packaging as the standard nail paints, but with a silver lid so we can tell them apart! They claim to have a 'Hi Shine Gel Effect' But I've never had gel nails so can't comment on that aspect. In total there are 7 colours, although the colour names on the Boots website are incorrect so watch out for that!

What did I think?
So the formula didn't particularly wow me, it took rather a long time to dry down. And that's with thin coats. It took two coats to get an opaque finish, which although not particularly desirable is pretty average! Just tedious with the long dry down times! However once dried it does having a lovely glossy finish with a cream forest green shade that has teal tendencies to it. The wear's also alright, with just minor tip damage after 3 days. PS you get a very decent 10ml of product.

The Bonus!
Recently I made an MUA order which arrived this morning, I wanted to try some of their new products! One of them being one of the new Mystical Glitter Nails, which I picked up for £2.50. The shade I have is Seahorse. Which did you know mate for life! Fishy facts aside this seemed to match very well with the Barry M polish I already had on, so I decided to pop it on over the top and it seemed silly not to share a snap! It sure does look beautiful doesn't it. And super quick drying time!

I'll be sure to get another NOTD up using the MUA polish on it's own so you can see better how it works. I hope it stays at beautiful! Anyway I really hope this post was helpful and I'll speak to you again soon - I'm plotting Nail Art for tomorrow! Thanks again, Hannah
