Review: Vaseline Pink Bubbly

Firstly today I need to give you guys a huge apology as you were probably expecting my usual Monday Mix-Up. But today I've had family down and due to it getting dark really early due to the clocks changing here in the UK I have missed all of todays daylight! But rest assured as soon as I'm home in some I will post it for you - it's looking like Wednesday at the moment! Apology aside, back to the vaseline...

The Basics
This is a twist on your standard Vaseline lipbalm, coming in the same style of packaging as all the others versions. The design is a lot fancier though, with some pretty swirly writing and a black and pale pink colour to it. Inside we have 20g of product which 'delicately tints' - although on me it's completely clear! I payed around £3.50 for this from Tesco's, which I think is the standard going rate, quite a mark up on the other versions, and also limited edition! But it does have wine extract in it!

What did I think?
As with other vaselines you have to be careful on the situations you use this product. It's actually a barrier product helping to protect the lips, not so much actually helping them once they're chapped. So I tend to use vaseline when I'm out and about in the cold! As I've already said the tint is pretty much non-existent. But the scent is really nice, although I've never had champagne before so couldn't tell you if it was accurate. My housemate recons it smells like pot pourri, and although I can see where he's coming from it's not horribly perfumed! PS, glossy finish as always!

Ingredients

I'd seen this around for a while before I picked it up last week, but my willpower is not the best and it managed to sneak its way into my shopping basket along with my potatoes, rice and peppers! As always feel free to leave any questions you may have below and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

  1. I have the same feeling about Vaseline as well. I do have quite a few of their lip products and still like them a bit.

  4. This looks really nice, but I remember when it was only 99p just a few years ago! £3.50 seems like such a big price increase! I buy large pots of regular Vaseline and depot into small jars to use on lips. works out cheaper...

    1. Yeah it is a little pricey, there was no price next to it, I just assumed it was as cheap as the others, ow wrong I was!

  6. I'm not a huge lover of vaseline personally, I find there are much better options out there that moisturise and create a barrier. I like the look of the packaging but won't be buying it at £3.50.

Well, I just took part in this awesome karaoke contest they're hosting on facebook and it's really cool indeed. You just have to sing along to the jingle of their Total Moisturizer TVC. http://on.fb.me/ILwRhQ
