Review + Swatches: Sleek Corrector & Concealer Palette

I never used to be much of a concealer person, I didn't even own one to a while after I started my blog. But times have changed even if my skin hasn't much and I've really come around to the idea of flawless skin. My latest concealer venture is this fab little palette from Sleek, which I'm thinking is an online exclusive as I haven't seen it in Superdrug! I know a few of you have been waiting for this, so I hope you enjoy!

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
This palette from Sleek is a very compact little kit containing a correcting concealer, a standard concealer and a setting powder. Both concealers have a creamy formula to them, but I like it! In total you're getting 4.2g of product for £7.99 - not the best value around. But still pretty darn good for the variety! It comes in 5 shades catering for a large range of skintones - the shade I have is 01. The only other thing worth mentioning here is that the setting powder has an SPF15 in it.

The Concealers
The concealers both have a really great creamy consistency that isn't too thick. This is great because it means that it applies like a dream and doesn't have that tacky feel that some thicker cream based concealers can. As for longevity, it does last most of the day, but there is some noticeable fading towards the end of the day. But the pretty much opaque coverage makes up for it!

The corrector shade has a slight pinky salmon tone to it, which works perfectly to brighten under the eyes - a very noticeable difference. The regular shade is slightly warm toned and a touch too light for my skin, but not so much that I can't use it!

The Powder
At first I thought this was a slightly odd inclusion, but actually it really has a place here and I'm pleased to say I've been getting a lot of use out of it! Although it does looks like it's going to last a lot longer than the concealers. That aside, this has a very slight yellow tone to it, which doesn't show on the skin except for making it seem slightly more even. There's nothing particularly exciting about a powder in my eyes, but it does the job, and does it well!

I'm wearing all three products in this picture :)

The Good - very good coverage, 3in1, corrector shade works well under the eyes, compact, value, great texture - not too thick.

The Not so Good - Not a huge amount of product, I already hit pan on one of the concealers!

Would I repurchase? Oh absolutely, I prefer this to the Collection (2000) Lasting Perfection which was my favourite before I tried this!

Who might like it? Those that want a good coverage concealer! Although if not set well I can see this settling into fine lines a little - although I can't really test this as I'm only 21!

Price & Availability - £7.99, Sleeks Website

I love that feeling when you try something and it really wows you. I got that with this, a true full coverage concealer! I know quite a few of you were waiting for this review, so I hope it was helpful. Let me know if you have anymore questions and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah

    1. I'm using the Ecotools Highlight Brush that comes in their 6 piece eye set! It actually works really well because it's nice and fluffy and blends really nicely. Hope that helps!

  4. I was definitely one of the people interested in seeing this review :) One thing that seems particularly good about this product is the colors - to me, they would work well for their purposes. It is rather surprising how little product they give you...that you've already hit pan! I know what you mean, about the powder seeming a bit out of place, so that's good to know it's actually useful. Your skin really does look flawless in the photo!

  5. I use this only as my handbag touch up concealer and I am worried that I will hit pan soon too... not on the corrector or the powder, but I seem to be going through the middle colour pretty quickly!

I did a review on this palette too:

  7. Hmmm, for some reason I am not yet convinced about the Sleek face products apart from the coloured products. Perhaps I should give these a try along with the skin revive foundation.

    1. I've never tried the Revive Foundation, but I have tried the BB Cream. It wasn't my favourite, but a lot of other people seem to really like it. Could just be me!

    2. I've tried the Creme to Powder Foundation and Skin Revive foundation; the latter is a light/medium coverage and does make you look nice and glowy! I'd say try it if you have little/no imperfections because it won't cover blemishes. It's oil-free and I have oily skin, but I really like it. However I like the Creme-To-Powder Foundation better
