I have a lot of favourite bright eyeshadows, a fair few in palettes. But some individual ones as well that really hit the mark for being bright, pigmented and fun! So today I thought it would be fun to share a few of them all with you and share the fun! I've picked a variety of formulas and prices. Ranging from higher end, to drugstore to indie as well. So hopefully something for everyone, I hope you enjoy!
Barry M Dazzle Dust - 85
(£4.59, Boots & Superdrug)
Bright pink is an understatement! Like most dazzle dusts it has a light shimmer to it, and this particular one also stains a little - you've been warned! Pink can be quite a hard colour to pull off, but a small amount added with other colours such as browns or purples can look great! Barry M also do a bunch of other bright colours too!
Fyrinnae Eyeshadow - Faerie Glamour
(Mini Size - $2, Fyrinnae's Website)
Indie companies always have a great selection of bright and interesting colours. Fyrinnae in my eyes specializes in really unique and complex shades - with the bonus of being able to order very decent sample sizes! This particular one is a bright indigo with a strong aqua shimmer to it. Very pretty!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil - Clash
(£14, Debenhams)
Definitely not a cheap product, but you will get a bigger pencil than I have, mines is a mini size! This is a creamy pencil that you can apply straight to the eyes to get the bright bright blue shade you can see in the pictures, with silver microglitter floating through it too. What really makes this stand out as a great product is the pigmentation and staying power on the eyes - no horrible creasing like a lot of these shadow pencils!
Venomous Cosmetics Powder Eyeshadow - Eyelash Viper
(Samples - $1, Venomous Cosmetics)
Another indie company appearance here. And as you can see, this is a really bright yellow which is verging on matte. It's a warmer yellow and looks really nice applied with blues and greens. I had a lot of trouble picking which colour I wanted to choose from this company as they have some amazing bright blues and greens in their permenant collection, but I thought I'd go for something a little different from other things I'd picked!
MakeUp Academy Eyeshadow - Shade 8
(£1, Superdrug & MUA's Website)
I know, I know, I bang on about MUA an awful lot! But they truely are an impressive brand! This particular eyeshadow is soft, well formed and pigmented all for just £1. Of the ones I own, this is by far my favourite colour, having a beautiful shimmery blue teal shade to it. If you live in the UK you NEED to check these eyeshadows out in Superdrug!
All we need now is a rainbow to compete with all these bright colours! I tell you what, swatching these has made me want to create a pink and yellow look - that may be the task of tomorrow! Nothing better than some clashing colours haha! Anyway I'd love it if you shared your favourite bright eyeshadows and I'll speak to you again soon, Hannah
PS I you want to see a look with any of these let me know!

I really like that urban decay pencil! The colour is amazing! :)

DeleteNow that u mentione it I remember a lovely pop of yello in the inner corner of the eye in one of ur past looks! I liked it very much then. Thanks for the tips Hannah! I will be a bit more daring thanks to your FOTDs! I bought the blush prof. matte palette as u recommended it but have still to try it out! xx
DeleteAhh love that palette!! It's like a rainbow in one compact. I can never decide what colours to wear with it! Make sure you use a good base with it to get the most from it though. If you're stuck for ideas I've just put a tutorial up using the palette. Hope you get as much fun from the palette as I do!

DeleteYes NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk is a fab base for this palette! Depending on how oily your lids are you may want to use a primer under your base as well. Have fun trying the look out, you'll have to tell me how it works out!
