Review + Swatches: Accessorize Intense Lip Colour - Incite

It used to cost a bomb to get a non-sticky, pigmented lipgloss. But thankfully the drugstore has improved a lot over the last few years. And now theres an army of them just waiting to be added to my collection! Today I've got one of the new Intense Lip Colours from Accessorize - and I must say I was very impressed. A lot more impressed than I was with Accessorize's Diamond Lipgloss anyway! The Intense Lip Colours can be found in Superdrug stores for just £3.95! And also available from Accessorize online - link

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
These are a new product from Accessorize and have released in a pretty reasonable variety of colours - with the one I have called 'Incite'. Inside it is your standard doe-foot applicator, with 4ml of product too. I must say I'm loving the packaging though - it's a little on the tacky side, but it's super cute for summer! It also has a nice vanilla scent to it - the standard one that a lot of drugstore products have! But I quite like it.

The Formula
I kinda spoiled this at the beginning, but this is a great non-sticky gloss and applies evenly and smoothly. It also lasts nicely considering it's non-sticky. So I'd generally get about 2 and a half hours wear from it before I'd want to reapply. That's the problem with non-sticky glosses really, they don't generally last as long. But we can't have it all can we! But anyway as I said this does have a slight vanilla scent to it, but for those of you that are concerned, you can't taste it on the lips.

Colour & Pigmentation
From the start I was expecting a really pigmented gloss - the name intense suggests it really! But you'll be glad to hear that it stood upto that claim! However I wouldn't say that it's opaque such as the BeautyUK Lip Vinyls for example. But still a very visible colour on the lips. The colour itself is a beautiful pink toned coral (slightly pinker than the pictures suggest) for summer, with some slight warm tones to it as well. Nothing that a cool toned girl like me can't full off though! It also has no glitter/shimmer in it, which is personally something I like :)

The Good - cheap, pigmented, pretty summer colour, cute packaging, nice light vanilla scent, reasonable amount of other colour choices, not sticky.

The Not so Good - Although I like the packaging, I can see it's more a love/hate thing! Being non-sticky means it's not the longest lasting (2.5 hours).

Would I repurchase? Yes I would, it's a fab little product, although nothing I'm going to scream from the rooftops about!

Who might like it? Those that like a funky, glossy and just generally pretty summer lip colour!

The Bottom Line - I really like this formula as well as the colour - but don't think that it is anything particularly out there or unusual.

This review's made me feel all summery now! I really hope we get a proper one this year - I have some cute shoes I want to wear. That's not shallow is it?! I'd appreciate the sun for BBQ's as well though - infact more so! But anyway I hope you enjoyed the post and let me know if you have any questions, thanks for stopping by, H :)
