NOTD + Mini Review: ELF Nail Polish - Nude

As you may have seen in my recent haul I picked up some ELF Nail Polishes, including this shade in Nude. I'm on a quest to find a great nude shade for my nails, something classic and goes with everything, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Especially considering it costs £2.50 from ELF's Website

2 Coats, No base/top coat.

What did I think?
Today I'm going to start with saying that I was really rather impressed with this nail polish formula wise and will definitely be delving more into the ELF Polishes in future! The application was simple, with two coats giving the opaque finish you see on the nails. It also dries in a decent 10 minutes to a warm pinky nude with a cream finish. Although personally I'm not keen on the colour, but I've had it on 4 days so far with no chipping! This particular ones also claims to be Toluene, Formaldehyde and Phthalate free, which is awesome!

2 Coats, No base/top coat.

So I may not be keen on the colour, but I've been very impressed with the formula! I may have to look out for some more ELF Polishes - what ones are you loving? I'd love to hear! But thanks for taking the time to read my post, I hope you enjoyed it, H :)

    1. Thankyou Miss Kwong! I'm personally not so keen on the colour on me, but it looks like it could be great with your skintone!

  3. I've only tried one elf nail polish so far in 'Innocent' and wasn't that impressed, was very streaky and hard to work with which is a shame coz I do like the colour. Finally got my elf order the other day too so can finally try out Heartbreaker stain :) blogged about my little haul here if you're interested - not that it's very good! http://lardygrub.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/bad-kitteh.html

    1. That's the thing with ELF, there's a lot of variation in quality between shades, I've taken a mental note to steer clear of Innocent though! Checked out your haul, looks good! I really like the Mineral Lipstick you picked up - Rosy Raisin is also quite nice!

  4. This nude looks really nice. I'm surprised at the 10 min drying time that seems a long time to brands i usually wear (3-4 mins maybe!) is this the quickest drying polish you have found? Have you checked out Barry M, Models own etc? they are very fast drying :) great post!

    1. Oh fair enough! I haven't tried any Models Own, but I have a Barry M one and I hate to say it, but I loath the thing, really streaky, took about 4/5 coats to get it opaque and by that time my nails were polish loaded! It was in Mint Green for reference. I really want to try the Models Own ones though, I'm really tempted by the Ice-cream set or whatever it's called!
