Review: Burts Bees Pomegranate Replenishing Lip Balm

Lip Balms' probably not the most interesting thing to read about, but on the flipside it's also something very useful which pretty much everyone owns! I actually got this Burt's Bees one as part of a set off of BuyaPowa - yes I am a little obsessed! It was actually my first taste of the brand, and so far so good. Must say I do prefer my Yes to Carrots balm though! Sorry Burts Bees :) It is available from Boots for £3.69, so not too pricey!

Comes with 4.25g of product :)

What did I think?
To start with a summary I thought this was pretty decent. It actually made my lips pretty soft, and they stayed that way for a good few hours after it had worn of, which is great as I do find some balms don't leave much effect once they've worn off. Talking of wear, this actually lasts a pretty decent amount of time on the lips as well. The texture once on is nice and smooth on the lips, but can have a tendency to be a little too soft and break off on the lips sometimes - a bit like the Lip Smackers can do! As for the scent - it's not too offputting, but was slightly herbally/natural smelling. Who knows what though, Pomegranate?! Not quite my scent!

Has no colour on the lips despite being a pinky red colour!

A quick post from me today guys, but there's not much more you can say about lipbalm, but if there was something else you wanted to know, feel free to let me know. But for now I hope you all have a great evening and I'll speak to you soon, H :)

    1. Fair enough, maybe my lips are just the same colour as it gives off! Entirely possible to be honest :)

  2. This is one of my favorites too! And I actually preferred my Burts Bees over Say Yes to Carrots. I have thoroughly enjoyed my Say Yes one too.

    1. Glad to hear you like it, I think I'm preferring the Yes to Carrots one based on scent really. I'm not overly keen on this ones scent! Both are great on the lips though!

  4. I haven't tried this balm, but I DO have the burts bees beeswax lip balm, and I love it. It has a peppermint smell and a slight tingling to the lips when on, which is equally nice! Never heard of Say Yes to carrot? but i'm very intrigued purely by the name of it lol :)

    1. Ooo that sounds really nice, I'm all for a bit of peppermint tingle! Yes to Carrots are actually a pretty cool brand, no rubbish ingredients and mostly natural if I remember correctly. You can get them from ASOS.com :)

    1. I keep looking at them and wondering if I should, I nearly did last year, not sure why I didn't. I'm a massive tinted lip balm fan!
