Review: Bourjois Flower Perfection Primer

AKA Bourjois Flower Perfection Translucent Smoothing Primer!! But that's far to long to put into the title! Thought I ought to mention it's real name as well as the nickname, just so you knew! Anyway, I thought it was about time I got this review up as I know some of you expressed an interest in it when I blogged about getting it. But in all honesty I have been putting it off for a bit in the hope I'd find a way to get it to work for me! So sorry about the delay, please forgive me!

As always I've included a summary at the end, enjoy :)

The Basics
As you can see this primer comes in a tub, so you will have to be putting your fingers in, which some may not like for hygeine. But it annoys me most because it's harder to get the right amount of product out. But I can deal with it! Anyway it the claims read 'Correcting Airbrush Action' and 'Beautified Skin' - more on that later! It is silicone based (well I'm 99% it is - I have no ingredients!) and has 7ml of product. It also has a very subtle natural floraly scent to it, just like the matching foundation - review here.

What did I think?
I think this review should start with a small warning! If you don't like negative reviews then don't read this and it's also important to realise this is just my experience with the product - you might find it different. That aside I really didn't get on with this. No matter what foundation I wore over it (I tried a fair few!) it gave the same very worn look to my foundation. Clinging to patches, settling in pores and just a general uneven finish. A slight positive though was that it did apply nicely, I just didn't see any of this 'Beautified Skin' they promised! Still love Bourjois though!

The Good - smells nice :) nice to apply

The Not so Good - makes my foundation look horrible, patchy, sunken into pores and this is straight after applying, not the cheapest - although I'd pay it if I loved it!

Would I repurchase? No, but it's not going to stop me buying Bourjois things, love the foundations!

The Bottom Line -  I really didn't like it, but that is just my experience, so it could always work for you, who knows!

Sorry for the negativity today guys, I feel like I should tell you all a joke or something to cheer this post up a little, but I really don't know any good ones. Feel free to share a clean one below though, laughs make everyones day! But anyway if you have any questions/comments then let me know. I get back to everyone so please check back later, H :)

  1. i find negative reviews really helpful as most products in stores are pretty good - so if youre picking stuff up on a whim it's useful to know what to avoid! xx

  3. I totally agree with your review. I was so disappointed with the result under foundation. Going to try it by itself today, hopefully It will work better as corrector for a natural look.
