I've never really seen eye to eye with gold eyeshadows, they tend to not sit well with my skintone. But recently I've found my perfect gold eyeshadow. I was planning to give you a whole post on the eyeshadow but it was limited edition and not for sale anymore by the time mine arrived in the post. So I thought I'd give you a quick FOTD with it that I created today for my partners birthday. I haven't even told you what the gold is! It's a Venomous Cosmetics Pressed Shadow in Sleigh Bells. I'm really loving the look of the gold eyeshadow over the metallic brown base. Definitely something I'll be doing again! I hope you guys all enjoyed the look as well, I know some of you wanted to see more FOTD's, so I'll try and make them more regular from now on!

Gold eyeshadow doesn't seem to go with my eyes/skintone either, I'm guessing the brown metallic base underneath alters the gold on top and makes it a bit more flattering? I'm thinking of experimenting with the Elf duo eyeshadow cream in the black/silver combo and the Elf mineral eyeshadow in celebrity! Whooops you're having a giveaway? Heading to that asap! xx
ReplyDeleteYeah it makes it more bronzey and just lovely! Although saying that this gold is more muted and a bit cooler toned than others which helps as well! I haven't tried the black and silver cream shadow but I have Mocha Swirl, it works well as a base but creases loads on it's own. I have a full review on it if your interested :)
