Phew what a long name! These have been on my radar for ages now, but I eventually picked myself one up a couple of months ago on holiday. The one I picked up was Shake It Up! which is a purpley colour. I actually wanted the teal coloured one, it's seriously beautiful, but they only had the tester, so I just picked this one up. And I have to say, I'm not disappointed. These are available for £2.99 from Boots and Superdrug.
As always I have included a summary at the end.
The Basics
This product, incase you don't know as the name isn't the clearest is a glitter liner. The range includes 14 different colours, which include a great range of colours, I really need to check some of them out, the website makes them look so pretty! I'd love to tell you how much you get for your money, but as you may be aware of, the writing likes to rub off on Collection 2000 products! But it seems like a reasonable amount from the size of the tube and is dispensed by a brush style applicator.
How much glitter?
This is packed with glitter, and although it is held in a clear base the glitter applies almost opaque with one coat. The colour of the glitter itself is a middle blue toned purple that reflects slightly silvery. There are both larger and smaller particles of glitter, but to be honest this is only noticeable when you look at it closely.
Application
I find that brushes aren't my favourite applicator to use with liquid liner. But as far as brushes go on liquid liners this isn't that bad. It is fairly firm and doesn't tend to splay everywhere. I also find that when applied over a normal liner only one coat is needed to get the glittery finish I want. I'm actually very impressed with the amount of glitter in it. My one slight moan with this is it isn't the quickest to dry, but for £2.99 I really don't expect perfection.

How I wear it, How it lasts.
I personally stick to wearing this on my upper lashline with matte plums and browns, like the ones from the Sleek Oh So Special Palette being my favourite shades of shadow to wear with it. I also prefer to line my eyes with a black liner before applying the glitter liner, just to make sure I have a nice line. I find this lasts pretty well through the day and still looks good by the evening. Although I do find that I get a very small amount of glitter falling on my cheeks, but it doesn't effect the look of the liner.

The Good - Cheap, value, lots of glitter in the product, great range of colours, doesn't flake of through the day.
The Not so Good - writing rubs of the packaging, takes a little longer to dry down that I'd like
Would I buy it again? Definitely, at some point anyway, theres a fair few pretty colours.
Who might like it? Anyone thats looking for a glitter liner that doesn't flake of and has a good glitter coverage.
The Bottom Line - Great liner, that has a great glitter coverage, better than anything else I've tried (The Body Shop and MUA).
Thanks for reading my post, I hope you found it helpful/interesting. Has anyone else tried these? What do you think? Thanks again, H :)

I like the makeup you incorporated it into! and it really makes your brown eyes stand out so nicely (: Plus it looks like you get a good amount of glitter in one coat, as many of them you have to keep building and building with layers to get the same result!

That gel eyeliner looks fab on your eyes Hannah! The shade is just gorge! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis kind of reminds me of glitter glue. It looks lovely in a line but blended out it just doesn't flow very nicely.
