I have been eagerly waiting months for these new pout paints after I saw the first blog posts about them. As I had to order online (theres no Sleek displays in my local Ssuperdrugs) I thought I might as well make the most of the postage and picked up 5 - Cloud 9, Peek-a-Boo, Milkshake, Port and Pin-Up, to get a good mix.To my surprise they turned up on my doorstep this morning which I was very impressed with. After playing with them for a fair portion of the day I thought I'd write a first impressions post with some lip swatches, so you can join me in drooling over the beautiful colours.

What are they?
If your a frequent visitor to beauty blogs you'll probably already know that these are highly pigmented, full coverage lip products. If not then keep reading! They're fully mixable to create many different shades, which explains the white and blue! The white can be used for lightening colours and the blue to darken/make warmer. They are available from select Superdrugs and Sleeks website for £4.99 each.

First Impressions
These are by far the most pigmented lip product I've ever come across (I've never used the OCC Lip Tars), a dot the size above is enough to fully cover the lips in an opaque coat. They do have a slight glossy finish, which dries down a little, and becomes almost non-transferable - there is a little transfer though. The tubes are a little smaller than I'd expected, but do contain a very reasonable 8ml considering how little you need to use. On the lips they smooth and light and have a slight scent of orange. But it's subtle and nice unlike the ELF orange scent.

The Colours
How beautiful is that blue! I have noticed a few differences in the product between colours, with the Pin Up (red) and Peek-a-Boo (blue) having stronger pigmentation meaning only a tiny amount is needed to mix. I also noticed that Milkshake (pale peachy-pink) had sepearted a little, with some clear liquid coming out of the tube before the colour product. On a side note, I didn't really like this shade as it was too orangey and pale on me. As for application the best, if not only way is to use a lip brush as the product can become messy. Using a cottom bud dipped in make-up remover works well to clean up any mistakes though.

So far I really love these new Pout Paints, I already have my eye on Mauve Over and Pinkini, but am trying to hold back on ordering again so soon, my poor bank balance! I can't wait to try mixing the ones I have to see how many different colours I can make. It must be the child in me wanting to mix paints! Have you tried these yet? What do you think?
Thanks for reading my post, I will be writing a full review on these sometime next week, but if you have any questions in the mean time feel free to ask, Thanks again, H :)
