After my recent success with some of the new BeautyUK products I decided to investigate a bit more and picked up one of the Lip Lusts. The shade I picked up was Date Night which cost £2.99 from Superdrug, but you can also buy them at BeautyUK's website.
As always I have included a summary at the bottom.
The Basics
This lipgloss comes in a long thing squeezy tube, although the packaging in sturdier than we usually find. The applicator has a soft material covering over plastic (see picture below). The range is permenant and includes 11 different colours ranging from a clear to shimmers, although most have some pink in them. Each has a scent of either strawberry, mint or papaya. Date Night has the strawberry scent which is very subtle and cannot be tasted.
The Packaging
As you can see from the pictures above these Lip Lusts are packaged slightly differently to the standard highstreet lipglosses. As already mentioned the packaging is sturdier than the average squeezy tube gloss, which I suspect may make it harder to get the last amounts of product out. The applicator (above) is soft and really helps to apply the product evenly and absorbs excess product if you squeeze too much out.

The Formula
This is one of the smoothest glosses I have ever felt, it feels so lovely on the lips as it has absolutely no stickiness to it. It feels closer to a heavy application of balm instead of gloss. There are other good things of the formula as well, such as it doesn't dry out my lips. The one slight downfall is that it only lasts around 2 hours, but does fade evenly. But for £2.99 and everything else good about the gloss I'm not really gonna moan too much.

Colour and Pigmenation
I would describe Date Night as being a pinky nude, similar but slightly darker and pinker than 17's Beehive Lipstick. It is definitely a wearable pink though. There is no shimmer or glitter included making this shade fairly work safe. It does have some gloss to it, but not to the point of the wet-look, it's something more subtle. The pigmentation is strong, with the colour coming out as it appears in the tube and giving a good colour to the lips.

The Good - smooth and unsticky texture - more similar to a heavy lipbalm application, applicator gives an even application, the scent (strawberry) is very subtle and can't be tasted, cheap, value, fades evenly.
The Not so Good - I'd prefer it too last a little longer than 2 hours, sturdy packaging may mean I can't get all the product out.
Would I buy this again? Definitely, I love the feel of this on my lips, I'd love to try the clear shade (Diamond) to see if it has the same feeling, I'm also intrigued to try a couple of the shimmery shades as well. I'm also a massive fan of the applicator.
Who would this be suited to? This shade particularly would be fairly work safe, so if your looking for a cheap work safe lipgloss this could be worth checking out. Also if your not a fan of the standard lipglosses it could be worth trying as these are more like the Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Creams on the lips, except they don't dry down.
I have been wearing this lipgloss on and off since I bought it, I can see it becoming a new favourite, I really do think that BeautyUK is fairly overlooked (I'm guilty too!), but they really do have some gems.
Thanks for reading my post, I hope you found it helpful/interesting but if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask, Thanks again, H :)
