As you can see, very pink/girly orientatated, the box it comes in is also pink,a bit tacky really, but I've included a photo for your viewing. Be warned there's a lot of photos in this post, I got a bit camera happy!
Yup, a lot of photos. I guess what you really want to see is the swatches and my descriptions of them. The fun part! All taken in natural lift over a primer. Here we go.....
L-R: Lychee, Meringue, Strawberry Sorbet, Pink Grapefruit
Lychee - Very soft, white with a hint of pink. There is shimmer but no chunky glitter. Makes a good highlight shade. This and meringue are probably the ones with most shimmer in the palette.
Meringue - Again a good highlight shade or for in the inner corner of the eye. A pale pinky champagne colour. Shimmery but the colour doesn't show up well on my pale skin.
Strawberry Sorbet - Slightly shimmery pink, shows more intense than the swatch above suggests.
Pink Grapefruit - Very similar to strawberry sorbet, with a hint of peach in it. Also very slightly shimmery, almost but not quite a matte.
L-R: Candy Floss, Lollipop, Peach Melba, Papaya.
Candy Floss - Not as intensely pigmented as the other shades A slightly shimmery baby pink.
Lollipop - Again this shade is almost, but not quite matte. Inbetween Candy Floss and Cupcake.
Peach Melba - A beautiful peachy pink. Shimmery but no chunky glitter as with the other shades.
Papaya - An orangey coral. The most coralist shade in the palette. Well pigmented, again steering close to the matte side of the shimmer spectrum.
L-R: Pink Punch, Cupcake, Raspberry Coulis, Morello
Pink Punch - The brightest pink in the pod. Cute name, slightly shimmery. Can you tell I'm getting bored of describing all the shades of pink yet?! This one is not as pigmented as some of the others, but definitely buildible to an intense pink.
Cupcake - Similar to Pink Punch but slightly darker and better pigmented. Steers very close to matte. Some of these shades pretty much do look matte at a distance when on the eye to be honest.
Raspberry Coulis - A pink with definite red undertones. Very slightly shimmery.
Morello - Not as cherry red as the name would suggest. A good crease colour or for the lid with other products. Slightly shimmery. Not really much pink in this red.
Phewww. Done with the pink describing. I still love this palette just as much though. If you did want the shadows to come out more pigmented then Lychee is really good for layering over the top to add shimmer.
Lovin' - Incredible pigmentation, theme, usable even though similar colours, includes highlights/crease colours, value.
Not lovin' so much - Some of the stronger shades stain so use a good base, there is some fallout, understandably not for everybody with the limited colour range.
Would I buy again? Obviously I'm not going to get through this palette anytime soon. But it definitely will be used although for single colours probably not a complete look. But I'm definitely going to be buying all the sleek palettes I can get my hands on in future. They are a favourite of mine.
Thanks for reading this incredibly long post, especially if you read down to the bottom here. I'm pretty excited for the new Sleek Primer Palette being released tomorrow, I really hope they have some in my local superdrug!
Who else is going to be getting the new Sleek Primer Palette?
