Interview Look and Beauty Tips

Today I have created a really simple and easy interview look, which I wore to my interview this afternoon. It could also be used as a day to day make-up look, for those that like something neutral. For an interview it's important you don't go over the top with your make-up, so thats none or your new favourite bright orange lipstick or dramatic eyelooks. However tempting it might be. There probably are occasions you can look good at an interview with a red lip, but here I decided to stick to the basics.

PRODUCTS USED
Face
The Body Shop Oil Free Foundation in shade 01
Bourjois Correcting Concealer in Dark Radiance
Accessorize Merged Blusher in 1 - Bombshell (contour)
Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral in 40 - Quartz Peach (Blush)
ELF All Over Colour Stick in Golden Peach (Highlight - only a small amount)
Eyes
I used Fyrinnaes Choco-cake Mix, I started by using it in the crease and then blending the leftover on the brush onto my lid to get a small amount of coverage on the lid. If you don't have this colour then use any dark matte brown, that blends well.
ELF Eyelid Primer
Urban Decay Sin Eyeshadow (highlight)
17 Eyeliner in Onyx
Barry M Intense Black Mascara 3 in 1
Lips
The Body Shop Brazil Nut Lip Butter

I used a shiny lip balm on my lips so that they weren't bare but didn't have anything dramatic going on either. I also french plaited my dreads - yes it is possible! To keep them neat and out of my face and to show that I can be well presented.  The shot I got is not that great, but it's not as easy as you think to get this shot! I have about 20 of my floor and wall!

INTERVIEW BEAUTY DO's AND DON'T's
DO Keep your make-up neutral and presentable
DO Feel comfortable in the way you look.
DO Carry a mirror with you to check you haven't smudged your liner etc before you go in.

DON'T Forget to brush your teeth.
DON'T Go over the top with colour or glitter.
DON'T Go wear overpowering perfume.
DON'T Worry. And  good luck to anybody reading this with an upcoming interview

I know I always say it at the end of a post, but thanks for reading my blog and I hope you enjoyed :)
